Pangkor Island, Perak

It has been a great escape over the weekend (July 6, 7, 8, 2012). And again, just the two of us.
This time breakaway filled with fun and laughter as we both took a ride round the island and what more  exciting where we get into swimming, jet skiing, canoeing, eating (for sure), and MORE...
Pangkor Island (now) has become one of tourist's attractions in Perak as it is cleaner, nicer looking surroundings, better shops in terms of the new built bricks shop lots by the roadside (Teluk Nipah beach), cozy environment by the beach, more satisfying chalets and guesthouses and so forth. However, we both never experienced good food there....can be eaten...yes.. if you are hungry but not tasty.  It is expensive too.. beyond the expected quality of the food.
Whatever comments I forward here in my blog, we both still enjoy Pangkor trip very much..Feel like going back to the island just the next week...Haha.. :)
Here are some pictures for your viewing..
Again, I highly recommended that the island, with its new look (cleaner)....can be visited over the weekend. Two nights stay is just great...!
The Jetty...departed.

Reaching another jetty..our arrival..

Our first day chalet...Palma Beach Resort.
It is clean.. Nice room with complete facilities.
Recommended for you!
We stayed here for the first day as we wanted to experience Teluk Nipah...A happening area at day time and night.

Below are pictures of our room. Second floor.

Clean towels. And a spare mattress.. Just in case you bring kids. Very generous, as u don't have to ask for it. The mattress is ready in the room.

TV.. with Astro...

Very clean bathroom. Working shower.

This is the balcony...over looking another terrace of the double story rooms.

That is another row of guesthouse/rooms to stay.  Opposite our room.

The entrance...and the area for you to take a rest..There is a counter/reception too there.
The guy is nice and friendly.

...the area for you to take a rest.

At about 4pm, we had these.  We skipped lunch because we had a quite heavy portion of breakfast in the morning.

Salted fish fried rice for my husband. (Not tasty)...We had this under a tree by the beach at Teluk Nipah beach area.  However, it is nothing to complain as we had it under a tree and with the wind blow by the beach. Can you imagine that?

Char kuew teow...Ok. Quite nice.
