Lunch...HOME COOK

LUNCH for two!

Fried Spinach with prawn paste.

  1. Spinach
  2. 3 shallots
  3. 1 clove of garlic
  4.  4 hot chillies (Thai chilli)
  5. 4 red chillies
  6. 1 inch of prawn paste
  7. 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  8. 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  9. 2 tablespoons of  anchovies (ikan bilis)
  10. For seasoning: you can add monosodium glutamate (MSG) - of your choice.
  11. 1/4 cup oil
  12. A pinch of salt and sugar to taste
Ikan bilis or anchovies

1.       Heat up your frying pan and pour some oil.
2.       Fry your anchovies (ikan bilis). Put aside. (You will add this later in the fried chilli paste).
3.       Then, fry well the blended items - (shallots, garlic, hot chillies, red chillies, prawn paste – blend these together) until you can smell the aroma – use the same oil in the pan after you fry the anchovies – give you anchovies flavour
4.       Then add the fried anchovies.
5.       Next, add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, MSG (if you choose to add in), salt, sugar.
6.       Once it’s fried well, put all your spinach.
7.       No water to be added.
8.       Let it cooked for 5 minutes.
Ready to be served.
