AYAM KAMPUNG TANJUNG MALIM, PERAK

Local Taste...Yummy!!
Tanjung Malim, Perak

Petai and prawn sambal
We had this in Tanjung Malim..It is a small restaurant by the road side. As you drive in Tanjung Malim, you will come across with a traffic light to Proton City..(UPSI...Universiti Perguruan Sultan Idris just next to the traffic light). There you will see this restaurant situated opposite of a petrol station.
Very famous with its chicken rendang and Padang cuisine.
One stop to have kampung taste...We never miss to have its prawn "gulai lemak' and fried sambal baby brinjal/eggplant. Simple preparation yet good in taste and flavour.

Love to go back again..plus it's so much   affordable. The last time when we had our lunch was January 2012. It opens at 1pm. So, my husband and I had to wait for few minutes before it opens at 1pm.  Not only us...but there are more and more people waiting in the car just to have their best rendang.
If you have lunch for two, you are just going to spend less than RM35.

Prawn Gulai Lemak (Prawn cooked in coconut milk...of course with its very own spices)
Chicken Rendang..Padang style
Traditional Brinjal with sambal (Chilli paste)
Kampung Ulam

Another thing to highlight, you don't have to order drinks as it is served to you as you are seated. It is a plain ice tea. What important...NO SUGAR!
